Sequence Panel.
Shows the sequence of a single chain, colored as the ribbon.
Invoked from Edit
in Menubar or Alt-1 (One).
Picking a residue character from the Sequence Map prints information
on the residue and invokes a user-selected Action.
Widget Name (Widget Type) --- description of function
- Array of Labeled Rectangles (OpenGL)
-- Pick with any mouse button to invoke Action.
- Ribbon Chains (Choice)
-- select from individual coordinate files.
- Sequence Color (Choice)
-- select choices from columns in the *.ss file to color-code
on a variety of per-residue modes.
- Pick Action (Choice)
-- select choice of Actions (below) to perform on sequence residue selection.
Default action is to temporarily re-color the residue.
- Color Index (Push)
-- open the Color Index panel, tieing function to the Sequence Map.
- Sequence Scroll (Push)
-- scrolls display of very long sequences Up/Down.
- Color Commands (Push)
-- prints input to commands to permanently re-color in the current manner.
- Close Panel (Push)
-- dismiss the panel
- Panel Help (Push)
-- show this help screen
Actions:
- Color (default)
Use the Index Panel
to pick the current color (default is 7=white).
Each residue character subsequently picked is assigned that color.
- Clear
Use the Index Panel
to pick the current color (default is 7=white).
Picking any residue character assigns the entire chain that color.
- Info
Only print out the limited knowledge ribbons has about the residue.
This Info is printed for all actions.
- Center
Force the center of display to the residue's CA(or P) coordinates.
- Zoom
Force the center of display to the residue's CA(or P) coordinates,
and zoom in tight.
Hints:
This panel added with release of version 3.16 and is likely to change.
Suggestions are welcome.
Selecting a new "Sequence Color" wipes our your coloring changes.
Current version does not let you save coloring changes.
Press "Print Color Commands" to show input/commands/instructions
you need to save your scheme in the *.ss and/or *.color files.
(see also the Ribbons Palette Panel).
You cannot edit coloring by "Chain".
Pick another option from "Sequence Color",
the chose the "Clear" Action to achieve this effect.
Current version only shows one chain at a time.
Picking "coord" defaults to first chain.
